Fall 2026 Tryouts for ages 11u, 12u, 13u, 14u, 15u, 16u and HS are scheduled as follows: (age as of 4/30/27)
Dates: Wednesday July 29 5:30pm and Tuesday, Aug 4 5:30pm
Location: Newtown High School
To register please send email to captainsrich@gmail.com and include the player name, date of birth, HS Graduation year, primary and secondary positions played and the town he lives in.
The Captains play in the Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League (www.ghvbl.com). We have a proven track record of developing young players evidenced by:
12 GHVBL Championships and 5 Runner-ups since 2019
2 Tournament Champions and 3 Runner-ups since 2019
11 current and former Captains players were on the 2026 CIAC Class L State Championship Runner-up team
11 current and former Captains players were on the 2025 CIAC SWC Championship and the Class L State Championship Runner-up team
Typically we have players on our teams from Bethel, Brookfield, Easton, Fairfield, Danbury, Monroe, Newtown, New Fairfield, New Milford, Redding, Ridgefield, Shelton, Southbury, Trumbull, Weston, Westport, Wilton, Woodbury and nearby CT and NY towns and surrounding areas.
